Pearl Jam 2008 Tour
June 28, 2008 – 9:54 pm
I came home about 3:30 in the morning today from seeing my last of four incredible Pearl Jam shows on their current 2008 tour. The tour ends Monday night in Mansfield and I’m quite jealous of those fans that will be in attendance. The last show of the tour is often a highlight. Still, I saw PJ at the Verizon center in DC, two nights at MSG and then at the Dodge Music Center in Hartford, CT. This tour was incredible…tremendous energy and such amazing setlists. We were not fortunate enough to win any of the ticket lotteries and get to sit in the first few rows. Being fan club members though, we still had pretty good seats. What a great few nights of shows.

Here’s one last shot. This is from a small show Pearl Jam played at the Letterman theater. My friend and I were lucky enough to win tickets. In this shot, if you look past Eddie, you’ll see someone in black pants and a button down shirt taking a photo. That’s me!
Look Who Turned One!

This handsome gentleman just celebrated his first birthday and I was fortunate enough to be able to have him pose for my camera. It was quite a day for him - presents, cake, family - everything that a first birthday should be. This is just a preview - much more of this young man to come. Happy Birthday, Devin.

This past week my wife and I spent four days in Cape Cod eating lobster, strolling on Commercial Street, and generally relaxing and enjoying ourselves. We stayed at a great bed and breakfast our first night called Carpe Diem and I can’t recommend it enough. We also enjoyed a whale watch and photographing the sunsets at Race Point. Of course, I indulged in numerous lobster rolls…one of my favorite aspects of Cape Cod. It was a great time. Below are a few shots from the trip.

Pics from My First Photo Session
May 26, 2008 – 4:22 pm
I’ve hit that age where most of my friends are married and most of the married friends have children. Good friends of mine from college have an adorable little boy and, as I’m looking for subjects to practice my photography on (with? should that be with”?), I asked them if I could come over and do a photo shoot with their son. They were very open to the idea and were really patient with me as I ran around their house and yard taking umpteen photos of their son. He was a great subject, very energetic, very curious… It’s taken me a while, but below I’ve posted several shots that I liked from the session. Enjoy!
Saturday in NYC

Yesterday, I went into the city to take some photos. Green Market was going on in Union Square at the time and all of the local farmers brought their harvests in to sell. I really like the energy and variety in Union Square. It’s such a mix of people and ideas and activities that you could sit there all day and just take it in. There is also such a great variety of food and artists selling their works. Enjoy some of the photos.

TThis guy was getting ready to perform some sort of traditional Japanese fan dance. It was somewhat comical that once he started his performance he kept bumping into passersby and other “artists” that wanted to be noticed that day.
I Think I’m Turning 33, I Think I’m Turning 33, I Really Think So
May 24, 2008 – 2:20 am
Yesterday was my 33rd birthday. I celebrated at work with my co-workers and cake and cupcakes (courtesy of my wonderful wife, who, although traveling in China, still was able to have the cake and cupcakes sent to my office). Unfortunately, the cake and cupcakes were devoured so quickly by my co-workers that I wasn’t able to photograph them. They were quite delicious though. Buttercup Bake Shop is my favorite in the city and she knows that. I was able, however, to sneak home two cupcakes that some co-workers bought for me. You can see the delicious creations below.
