Edward Pt. 2

As promised, I’m posting a few more shots of my friends and their beautiful new baby boy, Edward. I love newborn photos as they capture such a unique point in time. Even a few months from now Edward will be different. He’ll be bigger, stronger and not as fragile. My hope is that these photos will allow them to always remember Edward as he was at this time. Some day when he is off to college, getting married or has children of his own, my friends will have these photos to look back on and remember the love, the joy and the absolute wonder of Edward at this time. Katie and Rob, I hope you like your photos.

Judging by his grin, I think Edward likes his name.

A few months ago, I had the good fortune of reconnecting with a friend I’ve know since I was very little. Shortly thereafter, she announced that she was pregnant and asked if I would come and take some photos of her little man after he arrived. We set up the time and waited. Unfortunately, on our scheduled day, I was not able to go. My wonderful wife and an associate went in my place and did a great job with the photos. Edward is adorable and I wish I had been able to meet him in person. Kate, here is a sampling of the photos from your newborn session. I hope that you enjoy them. Five months ago, my son, Colin, was born and my life changed in the most amazing way. I now have this wonderful little person I get to help nurture and mold. Everything about him seems to me to be wonderful. I can’t get enough of him and I am so proud to be his father. This is Colin’s first appearance on this blog, so bear with me as this post has a lot of photos. Enjoy!

This past Sunday, we had the pleasure of attending Milan’s first birthday party. He’s the son of good friends of ours and we have been fortunate enough to get to photograph Milan since he was a newborn. We’re very happy for Milan and wish him many happy, healthy returns. My Grandmother’s Birthday

I was back in MD this weekend to celebrate my Grandmother’s 89th birthday. I took some time before the celebration to talk with her about her life and what it was like to grow up in her time. She told me a lot of stories and gave me a lot of perspective on life. You could tell that she has enjoyed her life and that she loves her family. I feel truly privileged to call her Grandma. Happy Birthday, Grandma!

Alex wore these great Nikes at his party. Very stylish.

Alex has a wonderful relationship with his grandparents. There are lots of pics of him with them at his party, but we liked the feeling this one expressed.

Alex is really cute and here you seem him paying some serious attention to the musical entertainment.

Alex’s parents were there to help him get more out of the musical portion of the day.

Last, but not least - everyone one year old’s right of passage - the cake. Alex wasn’t too sure about his cake when he had his first piece, but, as you can see, he quickly came around.

We had the great pleasure of photographing the party for the first birthday for our friends’ son, AJ. And what a party it was. Despite the rain, AJ was surrounded by friends and family all enjoying themselves and making this a special day for AJ. He had what I think was his first tast of cake and he seemed to really take to it (photos of that to come). We really enjoyed ourselves and feel very privilged to have been invited to help capture this day for them to remember. Here is just a small sample of what’s to come. Enjoy!

A Day in the Park

I met up with R & S this past weekend and we decided it was time that little M had some updated photos. He’s grown quite a bit since his first photo shoot. R & S are good friends and it is really heartwarming to see how much joy M brings them. You can see that he is one loved little boy.

And this may be my favorite. You can really feel how happy his mom is to be holding him.

S & N Married in Tampa

Recently, I traveled down to Tampa to see my good friend S marry N, a very cool guy that I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know over these past few years. The wedding was incredible. There was a menhdi party on Saturday during which many of the female guests had henna applied to their hands. It was fascinating to see how it was applied and it looked fantastic. The rehearsal dinner was held at the Tampa club and it was a really nice, warm affair with toasts and lots of laughter. The following day was a gorgeous warm sunny day - perfect for a wedding. I know we all had a great time and I couldn’t be happier for S & N. They really are a great couple and I wish only the best for their future together.
